Nikon Coolpix S8000 Review

Nikon Coolpix S8000 14.2 MP Digital Camera

The Nikon Coolpix S8000 14.2MP Digital Camera combines a sleek finish with some very respectable features. It provides excellent image quality with a not too shabby 10x zoom. Nowadays many makers are producing compact cameras with 10x zoom or greater. Gone are the days when compact cameras were simple. With 3 inch display, HD movie recording, and advanced stabilization features you can bet the Nikon S8000 is a change from those previously.

The Nikon S8000 is very fast in pretty much every aspect you look for. The startup is fast and also the shutter lag is very good for a compact camera. There are quite a few digital cameras out there that give fits to parents when they’re trying to capture their kids’ moments mainly because of the capture delay. The Nikon S8000 should give you no problems in that area.

Nikon Coolpix S8000 Reviews:

We have done our fair share researching reviews from sites that sell the Nikon Coolpix S8000 to give you exactly what customers think. First off we have to say this camera is very popular and there is good reason. Many people mentioned the compact design and the placement of the buttons makes it feel like a natural fit in the palm of your hand. The quality of the Nikon Coolpix S8000 was rarely questioned with the vast majority saying the quality of pictures is excellent. We have run into a few people mentioning that there is noise when taking HD video. Some have brought up that they also had a problem with the flash positioning always getting in the way when taking pictures though that’s all in the way you hold the camera.

Overall, Nikon Coolpix S8000 is a slightly above average digital camera. It has it’s positives and negatives like anything. If you have the extra money I’d suggest looking into a DSLR, if not this camera does it’s job well, but it’s nothing spectacular.
